These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Golfkit mobile application (the "App"), the Golfkit website and sales portal, your Golfkit account, and any licenses or content you purchase or receive from us (together, the "Services"). Please read them before creating an account or making a purchase.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating a Golfkit account, purchasing a license, or downloading, accessing, or using the App or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not create an account or use the Services.
2. Your Account
- To use most features you must create an account with a valid email address, first name, and last name.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity that happens under your account.
- You agree not to impersonate others, misuse accounts, or attempt unauthorized access.
- You can delete your account at any time from the player panel. Deleting your account permanently removes it and any licenses associated with it; this cannot be undone and does not entitle you to a refund for unused time (see Section 6).
3. The Golfkit App and Content
- The App gives you access to interactive 3D golf-course guides published by Golfkit Oy.
- The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
- You may only access and play content that is currently published and available.
- Golf courses available in the App may change or be removed at any time. Some may be shown as "Opening soon" and are not yet downloadable or playable. Golfkit Oy is not liable for content delays, changes, or removals.
- The App requires a stable internet connection to download content and verify access.
4. App Availability and Device Requirements (please read before buying)
- The Golfkit App is currently available to download only in selected App Store and Google Play countries (at present, the Nordic countries: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland). This list may change over time.
- Whether you can install the App is determined by the country of your Apple or Google account, not by your physical location. If your store account is registered outside the supported countries, you may be unable to download the App even while visiting a supported country.
- A license or other access only has value if you are able to install and use the App. It is your responsibility to confirm that you can download the App before purchasing. Where required, we ask you to acknowledge this before completing a purchase.
- Golfkit Oy is not responsible or liable for any inability to download or use the App that results from App Store or Google Play regional restrictions or from your device or account settings.
5. Purchases and Licenses
- Through the Golfkit website and sales portal you can purchase a license that grants time-limited access to a golf course's 3D guide. Licenses are currently offered as 3-day and 1-year durations.
- The applicable price, currency, and duration are shown before you confirm your purchase. Prices are in euros (EUR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- A license is personal, non-transferable, tied to your account, and grants access only for the stated duration to the stated course(s).
- Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Golfkit Oy does not store your full card details. Your use of Stripe's services may be subject to Stripe's own terms.
- Access is normally granted immediately after a successful payment.
6. Right of Withdrawal and Refunds
- Because a license is digital content that is made available to you immediately, you are asked, at the time of purchase, to request immediate access and to acknowledge that by doing so you lose the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under EU/Finnish consumer law once access has been provided.
- Except where required by applicable law, purchases are non-refundable once access has been granted or used.
- If a genuine technical fault on our side prevents you from accessing content you paid for, contact us at info@golfkit.fi and we will work with you to resolve it, which may include restoring access or issuing a refund at our discretion. Inability to download the App due to store-region or device restrictions (Section 4) is not considered such a fault.
7. Complimentary and Club-Granted Access
- A golf club may grant you free, time-limited access to its course guide — for example by approving an access request in its pro shop, or through a promotional campaign.
- Such free access is provided at the club's discretion, is time-limited, and may be changed or ended in line with these Terms. Arrangements about who receives free access are between you and the golf club.
- Free access does not create any entitlement to future free access or to a refund.
8. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, modify, copy, or distribute the App, the website, or their content.
- Use the Services for illegal, harmful, or disruptive purposes.
- Interfere with the operation of the App, website, or backend systems, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or data.
- Share, resell, or transfer access or licenses to others.
9. Intellectual Property
All content in the Golfkit App and website — including logos, graphics, golf course data, imagery, and code — is owned or licensed by Golfkit Oy. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute it without our permission.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have violated these Terms or misused the Services. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time.
11. Limitation of Liability
The Services are provided "as is." Golfkit Oy does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and does not warrant that the App will be available in any particular country or on any particular device. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Golfkit Oy is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law.
12. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the District Court of Helsinki (Helsingin käräjäoikeus), Finland, except that if you are a consumer you may also rely on the mandatory consumer-protection rules and dispute-resolution options available to you where you live, including the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
13. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in every email, or by contacting us directly. Upon unsubscribing, we will no longer send you marketing communications, although we may retain your data as permitted or required by applicable law.
